Armadillidium Gastroi "Zinger" Morph
The Armadillidium Gestroi "Zinger" morph is a striking black-and-white colour mutation of the giant yellow-spotted pill bug. These impressive isopods feature off-white or white spots and skirting instead of the classic bright yellow markings, created by a recessive gene that stops yellow pigment production. Growing to over 2cm in length, they're among the largest pill bugs available.
Zingers thrive in bioactive setups with a moisture gradient—combine damp moss with drier areas filled with leaf litter. Feed them decaying wood, leaf litter, vegetables like yams, and occasional protein or fish food. Provide a calcium source such as limestone or crushed eggshells to support their hard exoskeletons. Hardy and easy going, they share the same robust care requirements as standard A. Gestroi, making them ideal for both beginners and experienced keepers.
