Cubaris Murina "Mandarin"
Cubaris murina 'Mandarin' — a stunning orange Isopod that's perfect for beginners. These captive-bred isopods are incredibly hardy and forgiving, thriving in simple setups with minimal fuss.
Keep them at room temperature (22–26°C) with moderate humidity (55–75%) in a lightly-damp enclosure. They're not fussy about moisture gradients like other Cubaris species, making them ideal if you're new to the hobby.
Set up with organic topsoil, hardwood substrate, crushed limestone, and plenty of hiding spots — cork bark, leaf litter, and moss work brilliantly. Feed them decaying wood, leaf litter, vegetables, and occasional protein like fish flakes. Don't forget a permanent calcium source for clean moults.
These breed readily once settled, so expect a thriving colony quickly. Juveniles develop their vibrant orange colour as they mature, giving you a rewarding visual payoff.
Perfect for first-time keepers wanting colour and ease, or collectors building their Cubaris collection.
Shipped as a juvenile mix.
