Cubaris sp. "Panda king" Isopod

The Cubaris sp. "Panda King" is a striking black-and-white isopod from Vietnam, prized by hobbyists for its reliable breeding and hardiness. Growing to 10–15 mm, this semi-fossorial species features a dark body with a distinctive white band across the middle segments, white legs, and antennae.

Maintain temperatures of 21–27°C and humidity of 70–80%, keeping one side of the enclosure moist with sphagnum moss. Provide deep, nutrient-rich substrate mixed with decaying wood and thick leaf litter for burrowing. Feed decaying leaves, rotting wood, vegetables, and calcium sources like cuttlebone.

Considered one of the easiest Cubaris species for beginners, Panda Kings become increasingly visible as colonies grow. Ideal for keepers seeking a hardy, visually appealing isopod with straightforward care requirements.
