Cubaris sp. "Red" Panda king Isopod

Cubaris sp. "Red Panda King" is a stunning red-and-orange colour morph of the classic Panda King isopod from Vietnam. These vibrant invertebrates are beginner-friendly and reach around 1.0–1.2 cm.

Keep temperatures between 22–28°C with humidity at 60–85%, maintaining a damp/dry gradient. Provide a deep substrate of nutrient-rich soil mixed with rotting wood and leaf litter, along with cork bark, moss, and lotus pods for shelter.

Feed decaying wood, leaf litter, vegetables like carrots or squash, and calcium sources such as cuttlebone. A well-ventilated enclosure with one damp side and one dry side creates the ideal environment for these striking isopods to thrive.
