Thai Red Springtails (Lobella sp. "Thai Red") are rare, non-jumping micro-arthropods prized for their striking candy-red colour and practical role in bioactive terrariums. These slow-moving, easy-to-handle creatures grow to 1–5 mm and serve as efficient clean-up crews, consuming mould and decaying organic matter whilst aerating soil through their digging behaviour.

Their vivid red hue stands out beautifully against dark terrarium substrates, making them as visually appealing as they are functional. Unlike common white springtails, they do not jump, allowing for simple handling and containment.

Provide a deep, organic soil substrate such as coconut fibre or flake soil for burrowing—charcoal or clay setups are unsuitable. Maintain consistently high humidity between 75–85% and warm temperatures of 24–29°C. Feed small portions of brewer's yeast, decaying plant matter, or supplemental fish food one to three times weekly.

Shipped as mixed sizes.
