Armadillo Officinalis "PINK"

Armadillo officinalis "Pink" is a striking rare colour morph of the beloved Mediterranean isopod, displaying soft pastel rose, beige-pink, and purple tones that set it apart from standard grey or bright orange wild-types.

These robust rollers are famous for their perfect sphere conglobation defence response, accompanied by a distinctive hissing sound created by rubbing their body plates together. Primarily cover-loving and ground-dwelling, they prefer to hide under cork bark and leaf litter rather than roam openly.

Create a Mediterranean-style setup with good airflow and a clear moisture gradient—one damp refuge side with sphagnum moss and a drier side. Maintain temperatures between 20–25°C (68–77°F). Feed them decaying wood, leaf litter, and a reliable long-term calcium source such as limestone to support their health and development.
